Safety and Wellbeing
Safety and welfare of participants is your number 1 priority.
Ensure all activities are age-appropriate, sport-specific, and within the ability of participants.
Conduct regular equipment checks and follow all safety protocols.
Identify and address potential hazards immediately.
Never allow unsupervised use of trampolines or unsafe practices.
Professional Conduct

Maintain appropriate boundaries with participants at all times.
Avoid any behaviour that could be misinterpreted as favouritism, bullying, or harassment.
Do not engage in physical contact unless necessary for safety, and explain actions beforehand.
Avoid using inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory language.
Respect and Inclusivity
Treat all participants, parents, colleagues, and officials with dignity and respect.
Celebrate diversity and promote an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
Challenge and report discriminatory behaviour, bullying, or unfair treatment.
Coaching Standards
Commit to ongoing professional development.
Stay up to date with best practice in coaching and safeguarding.
Encourage enjoyment, exploration, teamwork, and sportsmanship alongside performance development.
Recognise and respect athletes’ limits – never push individuals in a way that risks harm.

Safeguarding Responsibilities
Be familiar with and follow the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
Always act in the best interests of children and vulnerable people.
Report any concerns about a participant’s welfare immediately to the Club Welfare Officer or appropriate authority.
Never engage in private communications with participants outside of approved club channels.

Be honest, fair, and transparent in all coaching and administrative duties.
