Objectives

Eastbourne Trampoline Limited (LTD), aims to:

  • Promote, encourage, and provide opportunities for participation in trampolining.

  • Provide participation, coaching, and competition opportunities for all.

  • Reduce financial pressure on those paying for participation.

Payment

  • Membership is open to all individuals over 4 regardless of gender, ethnicity, ability, or background.

  • Members shall pay per session as determined annually by the Committee.

  • Prospective members can attend trial sessions before committing to membership; the number is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Free Trial

Eastbourne Trampoline offers a free trial to everyone. Medical checks apply.

The first session is free.

Each participant is assessed on a case-by-case basis to see if additional free trials could be offered before making the membership decision.

Membership Price

British Gymnastics, Gymnastics Brittania and IGA were the 3 options investigated.

We looked for:

  • Club Affiliation
  • Gymnast membership
  • Coach membership
  • Judge/official membership
  • Competition opportunities

Gymnastics Brittania also offer pay-as-you-go membership at £1 per day.

We decided to join Gymnastics Brittania to:

  • Reduce membership costs
  • Add pay-as-you-go flexibility
  • Focus on a fun activity over competition

Note, members can still compete, but there are fewer opportunities.

Our £20 annual membership fee helps to cover:

  • Gymnast membership
  • + club affiliation
  • + coach membership

Session Price

Facilities for Trampoline are challenging for a few reasons:

  • Vertical clearance between the trampolines and the ceiling.
  • Storage space is required when the equipment isn’t used (unless permanently set up)
  • Horizontal clearance between trampolines and the walls.

As a new not-for-profit sport club, we don’t have the funds to own a facility, hence we rent space.

Our £6 session fee helps cover

  • Facility use costs
  • Additional facility costs
  • Equipment storage costs
  • Equipment servicing, repairs & replacements
  • Administration costs (booking system & website)
  • Accounting costs

We make payment as easy as possible to reduce financial pressure.

  • Cash or bank transfer
  • Pay before or after
  • Bulk pay or session by session
  • Pay-as-you-go is an option

Note: We have disabled the option to pay on the booking system we use to avoid additional transaction fees.

Volunteer led

Eastbourne Trampoline is run by volunteers, helping with:

  • Equipment set up & pack down
  • Funding applications
  • Fundraising events
  • Administrative work
  • Coaching

Over 80% of Eastbourne Trampoline is unpaid volunteer-led.

This helps reduce running costs, but does add risks for consistency and sustainability. A risk our committee assesses regularly.
